“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.” — Thomas Merton

Balance.  An essential piece to living a life full of everything you want and need. In proportions, you can receive a life with all its glory and happiness. There are things we want and need in life, but we can have both with excellent balance. Being able to maintain the pace with stealth and stability is something only a few can master within the course of their small amount of time. Many go crazy. Wishing for this, wanting that, needing these and not being able to hold on to all while keeping up with the rest of life’s wonders and tragedies. Balancing not only what you have now but what you will need in the future can be tricky but is manageable. Figure out your priorities. Make sure whatever your priorities happen to be, they always come before everything else. Figure out your needs. Whatever is necessary for you to live not only physically but emotionally as well. Then figure out your wants. Whatever you hope to accomplish or obtain. You cannot receive these wants without the priorities and needs coming first. It may be tough and may take practice but you CAN balance your life! You can understand that peace and happiness without all the craziness of disorganization.Stay inspired to obtain your perfect balance.

Inspired to See Every Beauty

We are surrounded by beauty every day. Places, people, things all show prominent signs of amazing beauty. We can all embrace this beauty. We should all embrace this beauty. We never know when the last time we can soak in the amazing wonders of this planet will be. Whether we will live for 100 more years or sent off to bloody war tomorrow, we have to make a decision to see this wonderful world. Don’t take life for granite. It’s fragile and easily stripped away, but you can make the best of it. Stay inspired to see the beauty and love your life!

Inspired to Appreciate// Yourself

This week (with an upcoming Valentine’s day) I found it fitting to talk of self appreciation. Many find bitterness and loneliness when Valentines day come around. These people tend to be upset and feel as if they might never find someone. These feelings can stem from under appreciation and low self esteem. You must realize that before you can ever enter a long lasting relationship, you have to be comfortable and loving towards yourself. How else could someone love and care for you if you aren’t doing that same action? This being said you should never be egotistical and ONLY care for yourself, but loving and valuing who you are is major factor in being happy and finding someone worth your time. Don’t be afraid. There is someone for everyone. In the meantime, work on loving yourself and being comfortable with who you are.

Inspired to Embrace the Rain

We go through times of rain. Times of severe storms. Physically and emotionally. Depending on where we live, we could experience more or less rain. This can also correlate with our lives. Where we position ourselves in life on a emotional stance could control how we deal with the rain. Whether we pity our struggles and let them wreck us or whether we embrace the rain and take it in; making us stronger. These decisions in life will affect you. As for me, I have learned to soak in the rain. Letting its drops fill in my life with strength and hope. I know you are capable of doing this too. You can do anything and get through anything. Don’t let life get you down. Embrace the ups and downs! Stay strong. Stay hopeful. Stay inspired.

Inspired to Appreciate//Women

I have decided to begin a series titled “Inspired to Appreciate”. Every other week I will write based upon things we should appreciate in life. On that note; this week I was inspired to write about appreciating women. I find that although we, as a society, have moved a monumental load from the way in which we used to treat women as a whole, we still have improving to do. The stereotype and demeaning principles to women may have declined dramatically but there is still a definite said weakness associated with women. Women still have certain roles they must participate in, and certain other roles they are excluded from.

Inspired to Focus on Quality

“Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. It may not be difficult to store up in the mind a vast quantity of facts within a comparatively short time, but the ability to form judgments requires the severe discipline of hard work and the tempering heat of experience and maturity.”

Calvin Coolidge

Many have been told to focus on the quality of things rather than the quantity. I could not agree with this statement more. It is much better to have one diamond than dozens of rocks. Although this concept seems ancient, it still seems to rarely be understood. People say they know this fact and even tell it to others without fully comprehending it themselves. Quality over quantity means sacrificing the status quo of MORE for the happiness of BETTER.

Better Over More; Because having more than someone else does not make you better; instead choosing better qualities ends up giving you more.     // Mackenzie
